Save Santa's Home!
In an effort to bring attention to the rising threat of climate change and the
need for immediate action, Duyure Adelante,
Campaign Earth, and the
Green House Network have joined forces with
Clif Bar, Inc. for a fun-loving, attention getting
nationwide event, Save Santa's Home! This summer and fall 2005, we want to have as many "Santa sightings"
across the country as possible. Getting involved is easy. All you have to do is rent a Santa suit (we bet
you'll get a discount due to the off season), get yourself a mask, snorkel, and fins, and a couple of
elves to join in on the fun. Click on our "Santa Survival Kit"
for all the stuff you'll need for a successful event, like press releases, materials to hand out to the
public, etc...

Take Action to fight global warming!
 |

Join folks across the continent and BE SANTA CLAUS for a day this
summer or fall!
Over the next couple of months, in cities throughout North America, we are calling on concerned citizens
to rent Santa Claus outfits and take to the streets! Dress up as Santa, recruit friends to be Mrs. Claus
and elves and talk for an afternoon to folks on the street about the impending threats due to global
warming. Events are already scheduled for Denver, Portland, Sacramento and Boston!
Hold a press conference! Contact local media outlets! Reach out to your fellow community members! Spread
the information and have fun!
To sign up and participate, go to SaveSanta.com
and follow the links to sign up. Also check for Santa's
that may already be signed up in your area. At
SaveSanta.com you will also find much more
information and tools to help make your participation a fun success.
Why?
The melting of the ice at the North Pole is the latest consequence of global warming that top climate
scientists blame on greenhouse gas emissions from human activities. Average Arctic temperatures in the
winter have risen 11 degrees Fahrenheit over the past 30 years, and the ice pack over the entire Arctic
Ocean has in recent decades been shrinking. While the atmospheric temperature is predicted to rise by as
much as 11more degrees Fahrenheit by 2100, instability of Santa's home and workshop due to global warming
is clear.
This Santa action is sponsored by
Green House Network,
Campaign Earth, and
Duyure Adelante, with the support of
Clif Bar.

Where will I make toys for the good little girls and boys?
 |

"My home is melting and I need your help. Yes, that's right, the
North Pole is melting. Really."
cried a distressed Santa early today.
What better way to get kids (and adults) thinking about climate change then informing them that their
favorite man and his toy production facility is in jeopardy?
Through this great grassroots, nation-wide movement, we hope to share more than just Santa's story.

What others are saying about the fight to Save Santa's Home
 |

"Don't let the North Pole become the North Hole. Don't let Flipper take
Vixen's role. Keep Santa's elves in slippers -- not swimming fins. Santa knows who's naughty and nice.
And the naughtiest ones are stealing his ice. So - save Santa's home and keep Yule Cool!"
